Dear Experts
I have an query regarding TDS Deduction on Salary, details for Individual as :
Basic Salary = 25000/- p.m.
Leave (5 days) = 4165/- i.e Rs. 833/- per day into 5days)
Net salary Payable for the month = Rs. 20835/-.
My query is TDS will be deducted on Rs. 25000/- or on Rs. 20835/- ?
Please help me out.

Deduct on 20,835 because it is the amount payable. Inference is from section 192(1).

If we deduct tds on 20835 but in succeeding month employee don't take any leave than can have the case of short deduction of tds .....in salary we calculate tds amount by considering slab limit.
