14 July 2011 I Made Payment to Resident of UK after Deducting TDS at Maximum rate i.e @20%.
Example :- UK resident raised Bill for Royalty for 100,i deducted 20/- & remitted balance 80/- to Uk resident & 20/- to the credit of Govt.

can UK resident claim credit of this TDS in UK ?

if Yes Please state the procedure for the same...
Do we need to take certificate for AO?

15 July 2011 In my view, due to Double Tax Avoidance Treaty, the UK resident WILL HAVE TO INCLUDE THIS INCOME IN HIS UK RETURN and may get tax relief there from his overall tax liability if he produces the TDS Certificate in support of his relief claim.

15 July 2011 Thank u Sir.

Do i need to take TDS certificate certified from Assessing Officer ?????

or Can i Issue it as if issuing to any other deductee.....

15 July 2011 No you shall issue for 16A in normal course. Also the UK Resident can claim credit as per UK Taxation Laws.
