Whether TAN No. is applicable for Proprietors Firms? Is there is any limit for TAN No. for Proprietors firms.
If TAN no. is not applicable for Proprietors firms,in this case whether TDS should be deducted or not?

if the propertiership firm comes under audit then he has to take tan no. & after getting TAN NO. U will deduct the tds

if as per the provision of section 44AB turnover of firm exceeds 40L or 10L as the case may be in preceding year, than such firm shall be liable to deduct TDS..

TAN number can be taken in the name of proprietor, if it is an individual concern (proprietorship concern).
