Sir, Actually even though there is no T.D.S liability in a financial year, is it mandatory to file quarterly e - T.D.S return ? But in the earlier financial year we have filed e - T.D.S return because in that year there is liability for T.D.S.

As per recent updates now there is no provision of filing NIL returns in traces. So if you do not require the TAN number or stopped business surrender it.

Sir, What will be the position for financial year 2007-08. From which year it is mandatory to file Nil e-T.D.S return and from which year it is not mandatory.
