Remuneration for examination is received on account of employer and employee relationship. What ever amount received during the tenancy of such relationship forms part of salary and accordingly to be shown in form no.16. If not shown, tax deducted at source will be wrong for which the employer is answerable and punishable if caught. In either case, the end result of tax liability rests with the teacher.

Thanks warrier sir. As a consultant I think so for a long time.Being Exam duty remuneration, paper valuation remuneration are have paid in cash, no details may be traced. But this is not considered in Neither a Government school teacher nor a College Lecturer's form 16 about this kind of Remuneration. But these are very openly paid in Government and Non-Government school and colleges and in private colleges now they paid through RTGS also. So do we should ask the details and have to include this in the respected staff's Income particulars.
