I have been working as a musician ON CONTRACT WITH A HOTEL for the past 9 years. I was being deducted Income Tax at 2% all these years. Now the hotel management has deducted 10% this month.
Can you kindly advise me as to which bracket do I come under and how much tax do I have to pay.
Also, if you could guide me to the appropriate section in the Income Tax Rules so that I can present it to the hotel management.
