Sir, I have taken COP w.e.f. 21.09.2017
One Pvt Ltd Co. incorporated in May 2015 approached me to comply with the requirements of Companies Act i.e. Signing of Balance Sheet as Auditor, Filling of Annual returns and financial statements with ROC etc for 31.03.2016 and 31.03.2017. Please let me know whether I can accept the audit now for 2 years i.e. 31.03.2016 and 31.03.2017 since my COP date is 21.09.2017.

you can accept the audit of the period prior to your date of COP. No issues so long as you are not putting the date of signing the financials which is prior to your date of COP.

YES, agree with the experts view, you have two options 1. Sign it after getting COP 2. not to take audit of the previous year. as they do not want to put current date Because of AGM DATE
