If truck is used for providing GTA service then service provider is required to get service tax registration number if the taxable value of service provided during the year ( Excluding services on which service tax is payable by service receiver under RCM) exceeds Rs. 9 lakhs. The service tax liability would arise only when you provide this service to non taxable territory (like J &K).
