Service tax on transporter

My client has 2 (two)truck for transport business and his t/o is more than 10 lac . whether liable for service tax?

If truck is used for providing GTA service then service provider is required to get service tax registration number if the taxable value of service provided during the year ( Excluding services on which service tax is payable by service receiver under RCM) exceeds Rs. 9 lakhs. The service tax liability would arise only when you provide this service to non taxable territory (like J &K).
