i am know the every forms of sales tax and also want to know what is central sales and state sales and which sales is 5%,2%, and 12.5% . what role of c forms in sales tax
Central Sales also known as sale in the course of interstate trade or commerce is that sales which occasion the movement of goods from one state or another. if a central sale is made to a registered dealer and he is ready to give form C, then such buyer will be charged a lower rate of sales Tax that is 2%. As far as sale at 5% or 12.5% is concerned let me clarify that different goods have different rates of tax. when sale is made to local dealer within the same state or to an unregistered dealer in the other state then maximum rate of Tax applicable on a particular commodity is charged. when sale is made to a local dealer VAT is charged and when sale is made to a dealer in the other state CST is Charged. Input credit can be taken against the VAT but No input credit is available against CST.
