Sales by a trader to sez unit

This query is : Resolved

07 April 2012 Dear Sir,
I am a trader registered with excise and sales tax department. I want to know the procedure for making sales to SEZ Unit.
How can I take benefit/refund/exemption of excise and VAT/CST. Also guide me documents & forms needed.
Thanks in Anticipation.
Regards,
Nikhil Jain.

18 May 2012 from a trader point, you can not get refund or rebate of excise, but you have to pass on the duty to SEZ and they can take credit and claim refund as purchase from DTA.

regarding vat, you can sell without vat and collect exemption froms from SRZ for it, accumulated balance of input vat may be used in other sales.

if you want to supply goods without duty, then u have to obtain ARE-1/3 and CT-1/3 from SEZ in favor of manufacturer and procure the goods without duty from manufacturing point.,

you can also register yourself with department and execute B-1(security) Bond and procure goods from manufacturer against ARE-1 and CT-1 of yourself and get endorsed the same at SEZ supply point and then submit the same to bond authority for discharge.
