one of my new client who has never filed itr .. came for filing itr . but when i began the process to create his login . then we come to know that he is already registered .. moreover when i begin the process to reset the password by using otp method .
the problem i faced that the dept. demands one of the 3 things
1. cin
2. tan
3. bank account no.
first two options are not worthy as discussed above neither he has deposited tax nor anyone has deducted his tax
the third option is also not working as it shows the error of invalid bank account no.
the person who has applied his pan is not picking the phone call as he has created his id .
pls tell me what to do now to reset his id password . moreover he has not registered his mobile no. in aadhar

my client do not have dsc ..
if i apply his dsc .. will the dept. accept it to reset the password as i heard from an expert that unless dsc been registered in the login . it cant be useful to reset the password same as in the case of aadhar card otp reset passwrd procedure

If you do not want to reset password using DSC then the only option left for you is to deposit a small amount of challan say Rs 50 or Rs 100 for resetting the password and then use that challan to reset the password by inputing the necessary details. But this option will be available to you only after 4-5 days since it usually takes this much time for challan to get verified and reflected in tax payers login.
