When registering a corporate entity, here’s how you should approach providing Aadhaar and PAN details:
1. **Aadhaar Number:** - The Aadhaar number should be provided for the authorized signatory of the corporate entity. This is typically one of the directors or partners who has been authorized to represent the company in official matters. - If you are registering the company online or through a portal that requires Aadhaar details, ensure that the Aadhaar number provided belongs to the authorized signatory.
2. **PAN Number:** - The PAN number requested during registration should be that of the corporate entity itself, not of the authorized signatory. - Every corporate entity has its own unique PAN number issued by the Income Tax Department. This PAN number is used for all tax-related and regulatory purposes related to the company.
Here’s how you should proceed: - **Aadhaar Number:** Provide the Aadhaar number of the authorized signatory who is registering the corporate entity. Ensure it is the correct and updated Aadhaar number. - **PAN Number:** Provide the PAN number of the corporate entity itself. This PAN number is used to uniquely identify the company for taxation and legal compliance purposes.
If the registration portal is specifically asking for Aadhaar details, it’s because Aadhaar is often used for authentication purposes to verify the identity of the person registering or acting on behalf of the company.
Always ensure that the information provided is accurate and matches the official records of the company and its authorized representatives. If you have any doubts or specific requirements related to the registration process, consulting with a professional advisor or legal expert can provide further clarity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
