Proprietorship into partnership firm

13 December 2012 Can anybody help me in the above subject.
if one company having a proprietorship from last few yaers now proprietor want to convert it into the partnership firm. is it compalsory to take a new pan number of partnership firm. & if yes, then service tax number also will be change. please clarify.

14 December 2012 Dear Chetan,
In respect to your query,
if one is changing from proprietor to company then from the income tax perview it will creat NEW IDENTITY/PEROSN (in your case its company)
so new pancard has to be applied for company.
Regarding Service Tax if the condition of exceeding turnover of Rs. 10,00,000 in the previous year, then yes company has to pay for service tax also.
