The term “private equity investors” may describe a wide range of investors, from a father investing in his son’s grocery store to a multi-billion investment in a privately held company. However, the professional private equity investors club only includes those companies whose core business is to invest in privately held companies. Some famous international names include KKR, Blackstone, 3i Group, and The Carlyle Group.
