20 March 2014 WHETHER A VENDOR CAN CHARGE SERVICE TAX ON SOME CHARGES AND THAN ADD THAT CHARGES LIKE (INSPECTION CHARGES) IN EXCISE ASSESSABLE VALUE AND CALCULATE EXCISE DUTY ON THAT OR HE SHOULD EXCLUDE THESE CHARGES FROM ASSESSABLE VALUE....

20 March 2014 Assessee carries out his own inspection and its cost is obviously included in his selling price. However, some times, customer carries out additional inspection eighter himself or through another inspection agency. If other agency then you need to charge service tax on additional inspection charges.
