29 May 2013 As per the regulation of 65, ICAI allows students to pursue only one additional course with prior permission from the institute. In regard to this, does this also cover Diplomas/Certifications/Ph.D?

I'm planning to do to take up a Diploma in IFRS. Also as per my understanding certifications like CIA, CISA, CFE are just recognised for the skills and knowledge already possessed by the indvidual and one need not consider it as a course/study programme. Someone please clarify me on this matter. Thanks

As per my understanding all these courses also comes under purview of additional courses and student need to submit form 112 for the same

15 July 2013 When you register yourself as an article then it is understood that you will not do any other course except the CA. If you want to do any other course as mentioned by you then you have to take permission from the ICAI by submitting form No. 112 with the requirement that the other course time does not clash with your CA coaurse and for that you have to procure a certificate from the Institue of the other course.

Kindly go through the link as provided by the expert this may help you. But do not do any course without the permission otherwise if the matter comes to the notice of the ICAI your articleship might be cancelled. So do not take the risk.
