sir my client has got his PAN registered with some auditor and now he wants to file the return of income. but the auditor is not traceable and my client has forgotten the password. When we requested for resetting the password, it is going to original email which was given by the earlier auditor. Now how we can get the password to our email ID. earlier there was an option to send the details to validated@income tax, which in turn would send the password to our new email ID. But I am unable to get the same. any idea thanks in advance satish, 98860 20201

Password will be sent to your old registered email address. Only way out is to reset tge password using last year acknowledgement no and savings bank account no or using DSC.

1. click forgot password option. 2. You will be asked to enter PAN and image code. After furnishing these click continue button. 3. Reset Password page will be appeared for selecting one from three options. Select third option and push the Validate Button. 4. Now new required information will appeared- Assessment Year, Acknowledgement no and Bank A/c no. Furnish these and again click the Validate Button. 5. After validation you will be asked to change your e-mail id. Change e-mail id and newly system generated password will be sent to new e-mail id.
