As per the provisions of Section 193 of the Companies Act, 1956, the minutes of the General Meetings of the Company must be properly recorded and the same must be signed by the Chairman of the meeting within 30 days of the meeting.
In case of Board Meetings/Committee Meetings of the Board, the minutes must be properly entered. The time limit has not been prescribed for signing of minutes of the Board Meeting/Committee Meetings and normally, it is signed at the subsequent Board Meeting by the Chairman of the meeting.
For General Meetings, the minutes must be recorded and signed by the Chairman of the meeting within 30 days.
However, for Board Meetings, the minutes must be recorded within 30 days of the conclusion of the meeting. However the same shall be signed by the chairman of the same meeting or by the chairman of the next succeeding meeting.
