Medical Allowances

23 December 2009 Sir I am working with One Private Limited Company.
I have query in Medical Allowance.
We are not given anybody medical reimbursement to anyone. Also we are not show this type of any allowance in our salary breakup but we are shown one special allowance in the employees salary breakup. Can we give benefit to our employees to claim medical bills at the time of finalization of computation of Income. Our CA has denied me to do this. He told me if we not reimburse the same we are not authorize to do this.

23 December 2009 REIMBURSEMENT MEANS ALLOWANCE GIVEN ON PRODUCTION OF MEDICAL BILLS. SO IN MY OPINION IF U SUBMIT THE MEDICAL BILLS , THAN U'LL NOT BE DENIED EXEMPTION OF MEDICAL EXPENSES SUBJECT TO RS.15000/-PER ANNUM

Fixed Medical allowance - fully taxable there is no need to collect the bill

Medical reimbursment- exempted up to Rs.1250 p.m(Rs.15000/ p.a) on production of bils only
