Does the term "ad valorem" used in notification no. 01-2012 in respect of a product given therein, include the value as per Sec 4A, if that product is notified under section 4A. Or does it mean only the value as per section 4 of the Central Excise Act?

No, it does not include MRP based duty u/s 4A.
