I had saved a draft file for filing of my ITR. Now, when I am trying to reopen my file to update anything, I am unable to see anything in the Java Utility(i.e. the screen goes blank). However, the preview option shows the data that I had filled. What should I do?

Update your java version and if possible open in other computer.
