If a salary employee purchase a house then stamp duty paid on house whether eligible from deduction under salary income

Yes.Stamp duty paid on residential house purchase eligible u/s 80C savings.
08 February 2012
Stamp duty , registration fee and other expenses incurred for the purpose of transfer of such house property to the assessee shall be allowed as deduction u/s 80C.
