for the purpose of HRA exemption there are 3 limits out of which lowest will be allowed as exemption.
in that case my query is what will be salary in this limit? "the excess of rent paid over 10% of salary"
Whether total salary will be considered or only basic part of the salary will be taken for calculation? further what if employee has received leave encashment salary also. whether it will be considered for HRA purpose? Kindly guide.
