03 February 2011 if any one pays rent in a city other then a place of his employment,can he claim the rent for his HRA calculation?

03 February 2011 In HRA caluclation there is a deduction series.Excess of Rent paid over 10 % of salary and that calculation it can be taken in to the consideration.. I hope...

The rent paid by you can be taken in the deduction series...


03 February 2011 The condition in rule 2A of the Income tax Rules,1962 is, rent paid should be for the residential accommodation occupied by the employee.If this condition is satisfied, 10(13A) claim can be availed though the rent is paid out side the place of employment.
