The following is the advice I normally give to the freshers who are in dilemma whether to practice or take up service. Any profession has got a waiting time. It may take three to five years for you to get a hold in practice and you should have patience and perseverence. You should stick to your office time schedules strictly whether clients approach you or not. Advertising is prohibited but you may develop personal contacts and create confidence in the minds of people. Take up any kind of job boldly and if you dont know the solution approach the seniors and colleagues. You should also read vociferously and suppose you are unable to solve a query of a client immediately, you should get him another appointment and before that get ready to solve the problem some how. Extending professional service in the client's place would help to increase your goodwill and contact level. Present days, various sites such as caclubindia are available and devote more time to computer studies. (even at the age of 62 I am doing it and that is why I am answering your query in the early hours).Attend all seminars, conferences, study circle meetings without ignoring them and you will have opportunity to interact and get your doubts cleared. Practice makes perfect the practice as a CA. All the best.
