I AM A CIVIL ENGINEER BY QUALIFICATION. I AM CARRYING ON TWO BUSINESSES UNDER TWO DIFFERENT PROPRIETORSHIP NAMES. 1) DESIGNING OF THE LAYOUTS OF THE PLAN AS A PROFESSIONAL 2) INTERIOR DECORATIONS INCLUDING ALL MATERIAL AS A CONTRACTORS
MY DOUBT IS WHETHER AM I LIABLE TO TAKE TWO DIFFERENT GST Numbers ? or ONE GST NUMBER IS OK WITH ME ?

GST Law do not permit to operate GST Tax process with one GST registration if different types of business (different verticals) are carried on one state or different states. Sub section 2 of Section 19 of GST Law describes that a person having multiple business verticals in a State may obtain a separate registration for each business vertical, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed. I think you should take separate registration

If you want separate GSTIN then you can consider the vertical business process...
If you don't want separate then you ll run the two activities in one GSTIN and Just add the business details in your GSTIN. If you run both of different locations then add additional place of business in one GSTIN...
