I have one query related to HRA if anyone can help me. My owner stays in UK and currently I have moved to new Company. Here, HR person asking for House Agreement which I don't have because Owner is in UK. In such case, when I am trying to claim HRA in company HR system...it is getting rejected because of no agreement. Is Agreement mandatory ? Can I claim HRA without agreement while filling return like from cleartax ?

The Company has to verify whether your claim is genuine. You can request your Company that you would submit the Agreement on a later date, submit proof that you taken the premises on rent and making regular payments. If Company does not agree, still you can claim the HRA deduction while filing the return of income
