16 April 2010 Can a representative office write off all its capital expenditure in the year of purchase?

16 April 2010 No , A Representative Office cannot write off capital expenditure in the year of purchase. There are no such provisions in the Income Tax Act , nor in the AS or Companies Act, 1956.
