Filling of returns of new formed pvt ltd co

28 December 2012 Hii,

I have formed a new co on 02 march 2012. Company registration happened on 02nd march 2012.

Do i need to file return of that Financial Yr 2011-2012. i have read somewhere in company acts that for a new formed co one can start filling returns within 18month of incorporation.

Pls advice

I am of the view that the company's return should be filed for AY 2012-13

The 18 months provision i believe, pertains to preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss account only and does not extend to income tax.
