As long as your client is in the Index of the Income Tax Department, he should file return. If he prefers not to file return in future, let him give a declaration to the department that his income would not exceed the minimum taxable slab and that his file shall be closed by the department.
Unless he does this, how the department can infer whether he has taxable income or not ?
Can we file declaration on plain paper or stamp paper (if yes, how much amount) or there is any specific format prescribed by the Income Tax department.

There is no provision of stopping filing of return until the assessee is live or the income of the assessee has not become Zero for life.

Hi Mr. Shah legally it is not required to file neither any return nor any declaration because every AY is seprate & for practical purpose if u expect that in near future there will be taxable income than to avoid practicle dificulties you should file the return
