Hello frnds, May I know, is there any exemption available to Practicing CMA/CS from undergoing Articleship of CA ?? If so, may I know the procedure to avail that exemption ??

Thank you sir. But I hope that shall happen as it would be an added Advantage to be a CA also. Think once, a Practicing CMA/CS with vast knowledge in many areas, but not having sufficient authority to approve like a CA has, won't try to get that qualication to enhance his expertise?? Even they too have to go for articles training , isnt that ridiculous ??? Just have a thought. Don't think otherwise.

rule is rule buddy... CS or CMA may have vast experience,,., but the field CA is quite different from that... For that ICAI had made it compulsory to have articleship....!!!

I am of the view that at least for CMA's CA Articleship should be exempted. Just the way the Direct Entry in CPT is allowed based on CS/CMA qualification. A qualified professional should not be asked to do articleship again. This will also increase the no of students in CA Course.

And i dont think field of CA & CMA is very different. Course content is same, though the same can not be said for CS course where more thrust is on legal aspect then in core finance.
