What is the Excise Tax Accounting code for paying Interest through E-payment. Can you please refer the section, para & page number mentioned in the Excise manual.

You have mentioned Tax code i.e, 00380031- Other Duties, What about the Code 00380087- Other Receipt. Can you highlight your remarks ?

In this notification, the * The Sub-Head “Other Receipts” is meant for interest/penalty leviable on delayed payment of Service Tax.
As The serial code starts from serial 0038 for Excise duty, no where mentioned in the circular, the accounting code for payment of Interest for Excise duty.
Can you refer the Section , Para & page no in the Excise manual or any notification & circular issued by the Excise department. The accounting code for payment of Interest on Excise
There is a revised list on www.cbec.gov.in/Revised_central_excise.xls www.CBEC.GOV.IN website circulated on 09.09.2008 contains all codes. I could not attach file now, You can give me your mail Id, I will forward you the same or search on the above website.
