12 February 2009 on which concerns or industries is excise duty mandatory? Is there any criteria for the concerns which can take excise credit?

12 February 2009 Hi,
Excise duty is leviable for the manufactured products.
Excise duty is leviable for the goods which are mentioned in the Excise Tariff Act,

in this link you can get a top dwon menu excise , click it .. check in tariff act.. search for the items you are manufacturing..if it is included, then your product is hit by excise duty.
