I need your help.

We are collecting original HR receipts from our employees for TDS exemtions. Some employees have given zerox copies of the rent agreement.

Please advice if there is a verification call from the IT:-

will it be our liability / responsibility to provide the original rent agreement copies or not. Kindly provide us the IT act relevant to this.

28 January 2010 as a employer u need to take house rent receipt , there is no requirement to collect original agreement copy
