06 July 2024 It seems like you are encountering an error related to dividend income while filing your ITR-3. Here’s a step-by-step approach to resolve this issue:

### Understanding the Error:

The error message indicates that there is a discrepancy or inconsistency related to your dividend income details and possibly the system-calculated values in Schedule OS (Other Sources).

### Steps to Resolve:

1. **Review Dividend Income Details:**
- Check the details you have entered for dividend income (Part 1a(i) of Schedule OS). Ensure that you have accurately reported all dividend income received during the financial year.

2. **System Calculated Values:**
- The error mentions a system-calculated value related to interest expenditure under section 57(1) of Schedule OS. This might be prefilled or calculated based on the information you provided.

3. **Ensure Consistency:**
- Verify that the dividend income reported matches the system-calculated values or any other related sections where dividend income might be detailed (such as DTAA of Dividend).

4. **Correct any Discrepancies:**
- If there are discrepancies between the dividend income reported and the system-calculated values, make necessary corrections to align them. Ensure all figures are accurate and match the documents you have.

5. **Save and Validate:**
- After making corrections, save your changes and validate the return again. The validation process should confirm if the error has been resolved.

### Additional Tips:

- **Check Prefilled Data:** Ensure that prefilled data related to dividend income is correct and matches your records. Sometimes errors can occur due to incorrect prefilled information.

- **Consult a Tax Professional:** If you’re unsure about how to correct the error or if it persists despite your efforts, consider consulting a tax professional or accountant. They can provide guidance specific to your situation and help you navigate through the filing process.

By following these steps and ensuring accuracy in reporting dividend income and related details, you should be able to resolve the validation error in your ITR-3 filing.
