can a person of indian origin and foreign national be a director in an indian company ? can a person holding foreign citizenship invest in indian company,what are the formalities.any permission from RBI is required or need to inform RBI Thanks.

Yes. They can be directors in an Indian Company.

Yes. A foreign national can invest in Indian Company. The remittances should be routed through an authorised dealer. Please refer to RBI's Master Circular on FDI. In some sectors 100% FDI is allowed while in others, there are sectoral caps.
