Difference between deemed export & third party export

07 September 2012 Someone please tell me the difference between third party export & deemed export.

07 September 2012 AS PER PARA 8.1OF FOREIGN TRADE POLICY
"Deemed Exports" refers to those transactions in which the goods supplied do not leave the country and the payment for such supplies is received either in Indian rupees or in free foreign exchange.

THIRD PARTY EXPORTS

In terms of para 2.34 read with para 9.62 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, “Third Party Exports” have been defined to mean exports made by an exporter or manufacturer on behalf of another exporter(s). In such cases, export documents such as shipping bills etc. shall indicate the name of both the manufacturing exporter/ manufacturer and third party exporter(s).

07 September 2012 'Deemed Exports' as defined in the Foreign Trade Policy means those transactions in which the goods supplied do not leave the country and the supplier in India receives the payment for the goods. It means the goods supplied need not go out of India to treat them as 'Deemed Export'.

("Third-party exports") means exports made by an exporter or manufacturer on behalf of another exporter(s). In such cases, export documents such as shipping bills shall indicate name of both manufacturing exporter/ manufacturer and third party exporter(s).
