14 June 2023 if we receive deficiancy menu in gst refund then with in how many days we should file fresh gst refund (is there any time period ).

06 July 2024 When you receive a deficiency memo in GST refund processing, it typically indicates that there are discrepancies or missing information in the refund application that need to be addressed. Here are the general steps and considerations regarding filing a fresh GST refund application after receiving a deficiency memo:

**Understand the Deficiency Memo**: Review the deficiency memo carefully to understand what specific issues or information the GST authorities have identified as deficient in your refund application.

**Address the Deficiencies**: Gather the required documents or information as specified in the deficiency memo. This could include invoices, shipping documents, proof of payment, etc., depending on the nature of the deficiency.

**File Fresh GST Refund Application**: Once you have addressed the deficiencies and gathered all necessary documents, you can file a fresh GST refund application. There is no specific time period mentioned in the GST law for filing a fresh application after receiving a deficiency memo. However, it is advisable to file it promptly after addressing the deficiencies to avoid delays in processing.

**Document Submission**: Ensure that all required documents are submitted along with the fresh application to support your claim for GST refund.

**Follow-up**: After filing the fresh application, monitor the status of your refund application through the GST portal. The processing time for refunds can vary, but providing complete and accurate information can expedite the process.

**Professional Advice**: If you encounter challenges or have questions about specific requirements or timelines, consider seeking advice from a GST consultant or tax advisor who can provide guidance based on the specifics of your case and current GST regulations.

In summary, while there is no strict time limit for filing a fresh GST refund application after receiving a deficiency memo, prompt action to address the deficiencies and file the fresh application is recommended to facilitate timely processing of your refund claim.
