08 August 2010 Dear,

I have become CA in nov. 07 exam and registered as member of institute during April, 08.

During 2008, i didnt got any CPE credit hours as in first year of becoming CA member is exempted from requirement of CPE.

During 2009, i was able to get only 8 hours of CPE credit by attending seminar. Further i have bought one CD "audit using excel" for which 2 hours of CPE credit is available but the same is not mentioned on the CPE credit web site under my login. (total i got 10 hours)

Now in this year i.e 2010(3rd year of rolling period of 3 year) i got 3 credit hours, total requirement is 45 in 3 years rolling period while i got only 13 till now. so please guide me that how much CPE credit hours i have to obtain in this year 2010??

Further also guide that what is the provision if i will be out of india during this whole year? means how to comply with CPE requirements?

please share your knowledge on above matter.

regards
ca rohit boraniya

08 August 2010 My status is exactly the same as yours.

In 2008 I have 12 hrs, in 2009 i have just 6 hrs and in 2010 now, i am having 15 hrs.
Also from March, 2009 to till date I am out of India.

In all these situations, what i am planning to do is that after my return to India in septemebr, 2010 ,I will just apply to ICAI for exemption for 2009
the ground of being out of India for more than 1.5 Yrs.

Also, you can do teh E learning Courses on Service tax and Transfer Pricing, it will give yopu knowledge along with 12 cpe hours.

Maximum CPE hours per annum for unstructured learning is 10 hrs and not 12 hrs.
