04 March 2012 Hey! I am a student of class 12th. I have registered for cpt june 2012. Due to the lack of proper coaching my 12th class accounting concepts relating to few topics like cash flow are not clear.Yet i managed to get good marks in pre boards with 99 in maths. My friends suggested me not to go for CA as it requires good accounting foundation. So should i do CA or not? Is hard work and determination is what it requires to clear CA? Thanks!!!

05 March 2012 Dear CA exams are not comparable with any Board exams or University exams so don't compare CA exams with any other exams first of all. So far as passing CA exam is concerned all you need is passion for accountancy and flair for learning and hard work. As regards your accounting foundation you can still build it you are quite young and have lot of time with you to make your foundation strong.Hope you got your answer.
PS.: I scored 52 marks in accountancy in HSC still opted for CA & I passed all the exams quite easily. So dont worry and take decision wisely after thinking.
