I want to carried forward short term loss on sale of shares rs. 25000 . because in this year no other gain from long term or short term am i right or not can i do so or not

Such short term capital loss can be carried forward. Further, such carried forward short term capital loss can be set off in the subsequent year from income under the head capital gains,whether short term or long term. Pl refer section 74 of the Income tax Act,1961.
