I HAD PURCHASED 3-BHK= 1950-SQ.FEET FLAT- TOTAL COST 55- LAKH ON 28/3/2012. ITS DASTAVAGE DONE ON 30/3/2012 OF 22.05 LAKH. I HAD GIVEN 22.05 LAKH RUPEES WHITE AMT.CHQ. - OUT OF THIS 17- LAKH RUPEES CHQ FROM NRI- A/C & 5- LAKH RUPEES CHQ FROM MY KRIBHCO SALARY A/C BOB. NOW I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHENEVER I WILL SALE THIS FLAT MAY BE AFTER 6- MONTH OR 2/3 YEARS, I CAN CREDITED OR NOT OF WHITE AMT. OF 17- LAKH RUPEES CHQ IN MY NRI- A/C. ICICI PEOPLE TOLD THAT YOU CAN CREDITED IN YOUR NRE - A/C AFTER TAKING I.TAX DEPT.PERMISSION. SO THAT YOUR WHITE NRE- INCOME AS IT IS. I M HERE IN OMAN UP TO DEC- 2012. EARLIER I HAD SOLD - LAND PLOT ON 25/3/2012. SO NOW I HAD INVESTED IN THIS FLAT.

The purchase of immovable property in India has been GENERALLY granted by RBI to the non resident INDIAN. ( No separate permission is required to be taken) While selling the flat also no permission is required to be obtained from RBI as it is given GENERALLY. The entire sale proceeds you can deposit in NR(external) account. Do not confuse with 17 lakh. ( N.B. The proposition of buying agricultural land doen NOT fall in above ambit)
