01 August 2009 Strictly speaking, accounting should be done at the time of receipt.

If, however, there is no in ordinate delay between date of receipt and date of deposit(into the bank, I presume), the matter can be ignored, being immeterial.

However, the receipts pending deposit on the last date of the year, the receipts must be accounted.
