Syllabus wise both are unlimited in the sense, there is no restriction in both the professional exam that is to say the question was out of syllabus.
More over the TOUGH ness differs from person to person, some may feel he is strong in Practicals subjects like Costing,Accounts etc., & some may feel theory subjects are scoring subjects.
In both the cases, generally the marks are awarded inversly.
@Pinakin - Since you have registered for both the coures, Why dont you prepare for both ? It is also beneficial to write both the exam simultaneously as few subjects are common, some questions are directly picked from the other in the Exams.
I personally felt Practical subjects are scoring subjects & theory are less scoring, BUT actually it happened reversed to me, I got through CS inter & final in first attempt.(Most of the CS subjects are theory)
