CA Vs ICWAI??

This query is : Resolved

16 November 2010 Hello,

I want to know that which one is tough in terms of syllabus. One of me friend says that ICWAI is damn tougher than CA! Is it true?

I'm asking this because I'm interested in both the courses but intend to pursue any one.

FYI---I've registered with both the courses!!

16 November 2010 Hi,

Both are good and professional courses. Both have different features. But keeping in view the passing percentage, and syllabus according to me also CA is tuff...

All the Best

16 November 2010 It is bases on the person also. But Comparing CWA syllabus CA will be tough is my view

16 November 2010 Syllabus wise both are unlimited in the sense, there is no restriction in both the professional exam that is to say the question was out of syllabus.

More over the TOUGH ness differs from person to person, some may feel he is strong in Practicals subjects like Costing,Accounts etc., & some may feel theory subjects are scoring subjects.

In both the cases, generally the marks are awarded inversly.

@Pinakin - Since you have registered for both the coures, Why dont you prepare for both ?
It is also beneficial to write both the exam simultaneously as few subjects are common, some questions are directly picked from the other in the Exams.

I personally felt Practical subjects are scoring subjects & theory are less scoring, BUT actually it happened reversed to me, I got through CS inter & final in first attempt.(Most of the CS subjects are theory)

17 November 2010 Ankur, Ramesh and Madhu....thanks for your comments....

@ Madhu...I cannot prepare for both d exams, as I'm doing my B.com and also working in a BPO. So it's very difficult for me to manage all together.

Also, will my BPO experience considered for getting an expemption in 3 years mandatory training of ICWAI???
