It all depends upon you and your capacity to prepare at your end. Best is self study, but today's trend is coaching, as you will get regular updates and suggestion.

Some subjects like law,isca,audit(as per me) can be prepared self. But I strongly recommend you to join coaching for certain subjects like DT,IDT, COSTING,SFM. Because most of the students face problems in these subjects.
