service tax on excise bill

i have got one bill on that company has charged the excise duty, CST and service tax.

i have doubt on service tax part that on excise invoice if sales tax is already charged then why service tax also.

can any one suggest me any remedies as i have lost my receipt which is issued after enrolling with ICAI i have the dd no. and its date
please let me know as early as possible

tds

1. shell network is fibre optic cable supplier and he also installs cable.one of my cilent used his services. whether TDS to be deducted.if to be deducted under which section to be deducted.


2. whether TDS to be deducted on printing &stationery. the expenses incurred towards printing of answer sheets,addtl sheets, records books with logo on all these.

TDS

We are receiving services from the Govt(Surveying) for that we paid consultancy charges after deductiong TDS.

we means Company, Firm & Individual combinely receiving services.

Now we want to remit the TDS amount to Govt a/c, the deductee name what we have to mention company or firm or individual.

articleship in mid size firm

i hv cleared my pcc in nov'08 in first attempt. i wish to join some mid size firm which can provide me exposure to tax along with good stipend.

if i m not wrong firms like haribhakti, lodha& co require strong references plus if u get in these firms u will be stuck in one division firm years is this true please provide information abt the work experience in such firms

help me plan my remaining period of atricleship which is 1.5 yrs

Hello,

I have heard that,, motor car is purchsed in the month January 2009 depreceation rate is instead of usual 15% now it has changed to 50%???.

Is it true.
