Arrear demand

25 November 2011 Off late we are receiving number or arrear intimation from CPC for all our clients pertaining to from A Y 2002-03 onwards and majority for 06-07, 08-09 etc.

Since we have not received any order for those years we could not acess the correctness of the demand

What to do now?

25 November 2011 This is a common problem of all communications being received and we have no option but to visit the local ward officer in this case and ask for intimation first and go about rectifying it.

In one of my clients case assessment u/s 143(3) was completed with NIL demand and I have received communication for payment of tax for the same year in the communication.

So the records are not completely updated at their end too and also rectification application made are not updated in the records and neither amount paid as per intimation before is updated.
