14 July 2024 It seems like you are dealing with the process of updating your address in the Service Tax registration (ST-1) in India. Here’s a step-by-step guide based on the information provided:

### Procedure and Documents Required for Change in Address in ST-1:

1. **Fill Annexure 2 (Intimation of change of address)**:
- Annexure 2 is a form used to inform the tax authorities about the change in address. This form needs to be filled out with accurate details of the old and new addresses.

2. **Submission to Old Jurisdiction**:
- Submit the filled Annexure 2 form to the Service Tax office under the jurisdiction of your old address. This is necessary to notify them officially about the change.

3. **Submit New ST-1 Form**:
- Prepare and submit a new ST-1 form with the updated address details to the Service Tax office under the jurisdiction of your new address. This form should be accompanied by relevant supporting documents.

4. **Relevant Documents**:
- Typically, the documents required might include:
- Proof of the new address (such as a utility bill, rent agreement, or property tax receipt).
- Any other documents specified by the tax authorities to verify the change in address.

### Consequences of Not Submitting Amendment within 7 Days:

- If you do not submit the amendment (i.e., the updated ST-1 form with the new address) within the specified timeframe (usually within 7 days), you might face penalties or fines for non-compliance with the tax regulations. It’s important to adhere to the timelines provided by the tax authorities to avoid such issues.

### Process Summary:

- **Step 1**: Fill out Annexure 2 and submit it to the old jurisdictional Service Tax office.
- **Step 2**: Prepare a new ST-1 form with updated address details and submit it to the new jurisdictional Service Tax office.
- **Step 3**: Ensure all required documents are attached to the new ST-1 form to support the change in address.

### Additional Notes:

- It’s advisable to keep copies of all documents submitted for your records.
- Follow up with both the old and new jurisdictional offices to ensure that your address update is processed correctly.
- If there are any specific forms or requirements mentioned by the officer, ensure you comply with those instructions to facilitate a smooth transition of your Service Tax registration to the new address.

For any specific queries or detailed guidance, it’s recommended to consult with a tax professional or legal advisor familiar with Indian tax laws and procedures related to Service Tax registrations.
