Allocation Problem

This query is : Resolved

01 March 2011 Respected Experts,

In my demat Account allocated shares are shown in two diffrent places.
1) IN Portfolio
2) IN Demat Allocation.

The problem is that in Both places it is not same. I don't know Why?

For e.g-

No of Share of X Comp. in Portfoli- 5
No of Shares of X Comp. in Demat Allocation-10

Please Guide me what is the reason behind?

Warm Regards

11 March 2011 The no. of shares in your Demat allocation is the actual no. of total shares held by you. You have to update your portfolio so that shares in portfolio & demat allocation are same.
This can happen due to various reasons like issue of bonus shares, stock split, etc.
It is a common issue with ICICI direct demat a/c. The permanenet solution is to set the portfolio to automatic update settings.
