No, as per sec 166(2), every AGM shall be called for at any time during business hours, on a day which is not a public holiday and shall be held either at registered office of the company or at any other place within the same city, town or village in which registered office of the company is situated.
However, proviso to sec 166 (2) allows a private co which is not a subsidiary of public co, to fix the place as well as time of its AGM through a members resolution.And such place can be outside India.But in that case approval of CG also required
